ENCORE Alumni Fellows performance

Join us at the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance for a compelling evening of chamber music featuring three extraordinary artists: violinist June Lee and violinist/violist Kiara Saito-Beckman (both Fellows of Jinjoo Cho’s renowned ENCORE Chamber Music program) with acclaimed pianist Hyunsoo Kim.

This diverse and intimate program will include:

Fantasia for Solo Viola – Georg Philipp Telemann
Three Madrigals for Violin and Viola – Bohuslav Martinů
Three Romances, Op. 22 – Clara Schumann
Violin Sonata No. 2 in G Major, Op. 13 – Edvard Grieg

June Lee (jueunleeviolin.com) is a Korean-born violinist praised for her expressive and refined playing. June's musical journey is marked by a series of accomplishments. In 2025, she will compete as a quarterfinalist in the upcoming Dallas International Violin Competition and recently won the Bronze Medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition as a member of Trio Timia. In 2023, she won Second Prize at the Schulich Golden Violin Competition and performed Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto as soloist with the Paju Philharmonic Orchestra in South Korea.

Kiarra Saito-Beckman (kiarrasaitobeckman.com) is an award-winning violinist and violist known for her charismatic stage presence and versatility across genres. Her performances are described as “deeply imaginative and emotionally stirring.” Notable solo appearances have include performances with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra, Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Arlington, Garland Symphony, and Central Oregon Symphony.

Hyunsoo Kim (encorechambermusic.org), collaborative pianist. has performed internationally and collaborated with leading artists and members of major orchestras. He has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Seoul Arts Center, and festivals including La Jolla Music Society and Rockport Music. Kim has held positions at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Perlman Music Program, and currently serves as a collaborative pianist and admissions director at Oberlin Conservatory and Encore Chamber Music.
