This is a full time position (30 hours per week). Regular hours will be 10-4 Monday-Friday, though schedule is flexible and will be adjusted to include night/weekend shifts for concerts and other events.

Wage - $20/hour

Term - 8 weeks of consecutive work between May 19th to August 31st, 2026. Exact dates may be flexible.

Candidate - This position is through Canada Summer Jobs. Therefore, only individuals aged 15-30 can apply. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the job, and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Want to learn more about the position? Read below for a breakdown of job responsibilities:

Tasks 

  • Creating and publishing content for LAMP’s social media platforms, including paid/boosted advertisements on Facebook and Instagram 

  • Creating and distributing promotional material for LAMP concerts, fundraising and education programs, tailoring promotional material to different audiences (local/provincial audiences for concerts, potential donors for fundraising and academic/international audiences for student recruitment/education programs) 

  • Organizing LAMP’s digital archives (archival concert programs, attendance statistics, planning documents for future seasons, etc.), making it easier for LAMP administrators to access archival material necessary for reporting, bookkeeping, grant applications and completion of other administrative tasks 

  • Assisting at LAMP concerts and events, taking photos and videos to be used in digital advertising and social media content 

  • Developing a long term digital marketing strategy which strengthens LAMP’s digital presence and increases engagement with key markets (local audiences and university music students) 

Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will:

  • be studying and/or have experience and interest in digital marketing and the arts

  • have experience with digital platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, events ticketing platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • be detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated, able to carry out a variety of administrative tasks in an efficient and responsible manner

  • be willing to work in collaboration with LAMP administrators and take direction, learning to work in an administrative team

  • have an interest in the arts and comfort working with the public (assisting at LAMP’s public events and concerts to create future digital content)

  • be adaptable, collaborative, creative, and innovative in their approach
