String Quartet Academy

Experience an inspiring evening of chamber music as the emerging ensembles of LAMP’s Spring String Quartet Academy take the stage. After an intensive period of mentorship with legendary cellist Paul Katz and members of the acclaimed Verona Quartet, multiple young string quartets will share the artistry, refinement, and collaborative insight they've developed during their time at LAMP. This special performance offers a glimpse into the next generation of chamber musicians as they refine their craft under the guidance of world-class mentors.

For years, LAMP has been home to transformational training through its week-long Chamber Music Academies, welcoming world-renowned faculty such as Steven Isserlis, Colin Carr, Kim Kashkashian, and Jane Coop. Now, with the addition of extended-term programs, LAMP provides emerging ensembles the space to cultivate their musical identity, whether forming a new group, expanding repertoire, or preparing for competitions.
