Stealing Sam is a play about approaching “gay middle age” with as much dignity and humor as possible, in a culture of online dating and texting. Sam and Jimmy have been friends for more than twenty-five years, and they were supposed to be facing “gay middle age” together. When Sam dies, it’s up to Jimmy to plan their final picnic.
