Young Artist Residency Concert

Trio Timia, formed in Montréal, brings together pianist Itamar Prag, violinist June Lee, and cellist François Lamontagne. Second Prize winners at the 2026 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition and First Prize winners at the 2026 Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition, the trio also represented Canada at the 2026 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition, where they were one of eight piano trios selected worldwide and the only North American ensemble.
Trio Timia shaped its artistic voice as an ensemble-in-residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, where they premiered a commissioned work by Canadian composer Yejin Kwon. The trio has performed across Canada, the United States, and Europe, and is currently the ensemble in residence at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music under the guidance of the Ariel Quartet. Their work is grounded in a commitment to collaboration, artistic curiosity, and the expressive possibilities of chamber music.
